- Bank Tenants and Allies enter into B of A Branch to deliver Mother’s Day Card and Demand
- Delivering our demand!
- Mother’s Day March — May 7th, 2011
The group gathered in Court Square and heard testimony from Sellou Diaite — a homeowner in foreclosure and a Springfield mother, who is demanding that Bank of America give her a real modification that includes Principal Reduction and Kalimah Dunwell, 13, whose family is facing eviction even though they can afford to pay rent after Bank of America foreclosed on their home last July.
We then marched up State Street to Bank of America on Oak Street, chanting “Bank of America, Bad for America!” “Bank of America, You Can’t Hide, We can see your greedy side!”. Once arriving at Bank of America the group entered the branch to deliver a signed Mother’s Day Card and our demands:
- STOP ALL-NO FAULT EVICTIONS AFTER FORECLOSURE!
- GIVEÂ REAL MODIFICATIONS WITH PRINCIPAL REDUCTION!
